Capital Novus India Director – Mr. Kirit Palsana had a discussion with Mr. Tayan about Indian Market and its growing trends on patent litigation.

Capital Novus was honored to be invited as a guest to an invitation only Symposium organized by Winthrop & Weinstine LLP in collaboration with Rajeshwari & Associates. Capital Novus India Director – Kirit Palsana accepted the invitation and along with India BD staff Ravi Thakor attended the Symposium.

The Symposium was primarily focused on a Short Primer on what Really Happens in the Courtroom. The program provided the insights into what really happens in the Court during trial and how the trial is largely shaped by pre-trial proceedings. The presentation was concise and to the point and illustrated with video clips through a mock trial (Markman).

The Symposium also focused on Indian Patent Landscape and discussed the importance of making Strategies and Plans for filing ANDAs in the USA. The program also addressed the increasing importance of coordinating litigation strategies in the United States and India.

Capital Novus was a proud exhibitor at the ACEDS E-Discovery Conference & Exhibition that was held in New York from April 18-20, 2016.  It was well attended by E-Discovery practitioners,  law firms, lawyers and judges, and representatives from corporations and government agencies. The conference put together panels featuring E-Discovery experts who discussed industry practices and technologies for  reducing costs and risks associated with the growing volume, velocity and variety of electronic data and documents. Capital Novus was represented by Alex Svet and Israel Guzman. They welcomed visitors to our booth and used the opportunity to network with potential prospects from trade, industry and government circles.

Capital Novus will participate as an exhibitor at  EXIM Bank Conference which presents a unique opportunity for companies from around the world to meet U.S. exporters, and this event will bring together more than 1,100 exporters and representatives of financial institutions, foreign trade partners, and government officials. Capital Novus will use this opportunity to showcase our technology solutions to a global audience of potential buyers from various industries, businesses and government sectors. Some of the prominent speakers include, US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker,  United States Trade Representative Michael Froman, Chairman of Tata Trusts, Ratan Tata from India, and many others. CEO Dharmesh Shingala and  staff members  Israel Guzman, Badr Badraig,  Todd Henning and Sindhu Mathew will represent Capital Novus at this exposition and important conference.

Escaping the  cold winter in the United States, Capital Novus team planned a business development trip to Saudi Arabia to increase the awareness of our technology solutions. The trip began with a training session for the Samir Group, our partner in the Middle East. The Capital Novus team included Zuhair Alzuhair and Badr Badraig (from HQ in the US), and Kirit Palsana from India, and they imparted hands-on and extensive training to technology specialists from Samir Group to  understand, demonstrate, and deploy our solutions. In addition to our engagement with Samir Group, the Capital Novus team also scheduled multiple meetings with Saudi Arabian banks, law firms and consulting companies. For the US team, it was a good escape from a  bitterly cold weather and a well-planned and strategic sales trip to Saudi Arabia. Congratulations on a job very well done.

Capital Novus Director Kirit Palsana along with India BD Team Ravi Thakor & Harsh Lodhi attended the CPhI’s 5th Annual Pharma IPR conference which happens to be the biggest IP platform for Intellectual Minds that meets and discusses the new facets, key current issues and way forward for the Pharma Industry. The Conference focused on understanding the Patent and Intellectual Property (IP) laws of over 15 countries such as USA, Europe, Brazil, Africa, India, Australia and Japan amongst others and its implications on the Indian Pharma Industry. The Conference also covered case study discussions on Pharma and Bio Pharma Patents and panel discussions by dignitaries on IP strategies for Complex Generics in US and Moving Indian Pharma Industry into Innovation.

In this year’s edition, the Conference introduced an exclusive ‘MOOT COURT SESSION’, a simulated court room experience wherein Patent Attorneys discussed the litigation issues in detail plus the nuances of actual proceedings to help attendees achieve in depth understanding of Legal Challenges in IPR.
